Frequently Asked Questions: Lashes

  1. Will lash extensions damage my natural lashes?

This is the most common question and probably the best one. The answer is No, IF they are expertly applied

    and

well taken care of. Maintaining healthy lashes is a team effort. Lash health is a priority at MMMM BEAUTY.

  2. How do I take care of them?

NEVER pick or pull at them. Do not rub your lashes. Picking and pulling can cause damage by breakage and removing from the root. Only use oil free makeup removers and products around the lashes. Its best to keep your lashes dry for the first few hours or day.

  3. Is the process painful?

Absolutely not. The majority of clients fall asleep. If you feel any pain or discomfort be sure to inform your lash tech right away. It’s possible your eyes are slightly open or the gel pad is too high and in your eye.

  4. How long do they last?

Fill ins are needed approximately every 2-3 weeks. The rate of your growth cycle and how well you maintain them will determine the frequency. Even if your lashes are still holding on, they have probably grown out and need to be removed and replaced. If you experience any abnormal shedding, be sure to contact your lash artist right away.

  5. Can I swim, shower, go to the gym?

Yes, yes, yes. Once the adhesive is cured they will stay on until they shed. Just be mindful and gentle when drying them. If you are swimming, I recommend rinsing or washing your lashes of the chlorine and salt before drying them. This will aid in retention.

  6. How do I clean my lashes?

Lash hygiene is absolutely necessary for optimal lash health. Our natural lashes protect our eyes from dirt, debri, and dust. So its common for your lashes to attract them and daily cleaning is imperative. You can always purchase the MMMM BEAUTY foaming lash cleanser, or use any oil free cleanser of your choice. Sweep your lash line with the cleanser using a fluffy brush, be sure to get under and in between the lashes. Rinse with water and pat dry underneath with a towel. Then take a fan or blow dryer ON COOL to dry them. Brush from the top using the brush given to you. Always be sure to ask if you need a new brush.

  7. How do I remove them?

Lashes should only be removed with a professional. We have a specially formulated debonding agent that will dissolve the adhesive and not damage your lashes.
